CLSA Capital Partners names Wood to head marketing, capital-raising
Asian private equity firm CLSA Capital Partners has appointed Juliana Wood to head its marketing and fundraising business. She is based in Singapore and will report to chief operating officer Randy Wilbert.
Formerly handling CLSA Capital Partners’ marketing in Hong Kong was Simon Lam. He has now left the firm and his destination has not been announced.
Before joining CLSA Capital Partners, Wood worked as investor relations manager at Henderson Global Investors in London. Before that, her role was head of investor relations at CRA Management in Singapore. CRA manages the clean resources and clean water funds established by Andrew Pidden and Anthony Wilkinson in 2006 which also form part of the CLSA Capital Partners Fund range.
The firm has a total of $2.7 billion in assets under management. As well as the clean tech funds, the range includes a pair of opportunistic real estate funds run by John Pattar in Fudo Capital. The first Fudo fund was among Asia’s best performing private equity funds in 2010.
Additionally in the portfolio are: Aria Investment Partners, which specialises in pan-Asian growth capital; CLSA Sunrise Capital, which focuses on small and mid-cap buyouts in Japan; as well as the existing clean resources funds, which combine public and private equity investment.
